Located in Fortress Hill, Hong Kong, "Oil Street Art Space" was built in 1908. It is an art center mainly built with red bricks and plaster. The entire art center consists of three buildings. Although each space is not too big, it has the architectural flavor of the Arts and Crafts movement. And each building has a history of more than hundred years, so it has also been listed as a Grade II Historic Building in Hong Kong.
As for the second category of exhibitions, it revolves around the interaction between artists and social groups. Through the interaction, more creative thinking and concepts are inspired, so as to create more new insights.
The last category of exhibitions provides artists with a creative platform based on the life of local residents. Through this platform, artists can integrate art into their daily life and show it through different works.
This arts center is open from Tuesday to Sunday, 10:00 am to 8:00 pm. As for the opening hours on Mondays, it is from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Also, admission to this art center is free. So if you want to know about art in Hong Kong, but don't want to spend money, you might consider coming here.
