The golden Bauhinia sculpture is called "The Forever Blooming Bauhinia Sculpture", and the Bauhinia flower in it just represents Hong Kong, which means Hong Kong is prosperous, and its economy is booming and prosperous. Since this large-scale sculpture is placed in the center of the square, the square is also named "Golden Bauhinia Square".
In the "Golden Bauhinia Square", a flag-raising ceremony is held every day, and uniformed police officers are responsible for hoisting the national flag and the regional flag. The flag is raised at 8:00 am and lowered at 6:00 pm every day. The flag raising ceremony is subject to change depending on the weather, and the flag raising ceremony will be cancelled if the weather is bad.
On the first day of each month, the flag-raising ceremony will be more solemn than usual. In addition to the police officers in full uniforms and the gun team equipped with long guns to preside over the flag-raising ceremony, a band composed of police officers will also perform a performance for about ten minutes after the ceremony. The atmosphere is solemn and the performance is also very attractive.
