The "Fringe Club" in Central, Hong Kong is actually a cold storage depot of the "The Dairy Farm Group", which is mainly responsible for supplying ice cubes and milk products to local residents. Afterwards, the “The Dairy Farm Group” renovated the cold storage depot into a staff dormitory until the staff dormitory was decommissioned and vacant.
This red and white brick building was built in the Queen Anne Revival style. In addition to being a building belonging to the period of the British implemented colonial rule over Hong Kong, it is also a Grade I Historical Building in Hong Kong. Coupled with the fact that it is located in the most prosperous area of Hong Kong, it feels like a work of art in the downtown area, with full of classical artistic flavor.
Since the "Fringe Club" has been rented, the internal structure of the building has not changed much, and most of the broken or leaking places have been renovated. Some facilities are directly named after their use at the past. Therefore, as long as you know what facilities are inside the building, you can still find some traces of the past.
If you also want to go here, it is recommended to take the MTR to the Central Station and leave at the Exit D2. After that, walk along the Theatre Lane to D'Aguilar Street, and then walk along D'Aguilar Street to Lower Albert Road, you can reach it.
